Biography

Count Henri Marie Raymond de Toulouse-Lautrec-Monfa was born on November 24, 1864, in Albi, France. He was a French painter, draftsman, and lithographer, recognized as one of the prominent figures of Post-Impressionism. Toulouse-Lautrec was the heir to the famous noble Toulouse-Lautrec family, whose history is connected to the Crusades. His artistic career encompassed genre painting, portraiture, and animal painting. Throughout his creative life, he worked in multiple capacities including painter, draftsman, lithographer, graphic designer, designer, poster artist, ceramist, graphic artist, engraver, and architectural draftsman. Some of his notable works are "At the Moulin Rouge," "Le Lit," "La Toilette," and "La Blanchisseuse." Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec passed away on September 9, 1901, in Saint-André-du-Bois, France.
