Zhang specializes in portraiture and has created several iconic series of paintings, including "Bloodline," "Amnesia and Memory," and "Tiananmen Square." Since 1997, Zhang Xiaogang's works have been exhibited internationally in cities such as New York, Paris, Tokyo, and Prague, among others. He is recognized as a representative of contemporary Chinese art, and his cultural identity is rooted in China.
