Yury Konstantinovich Artsybushev (1877–1952) was a Russian portrait painter, graphic artist, journalist, and editor of satirical journals in pre-revolutionary Russia. Born in Moscow, he died in Paris.

Biography

Yury Konstantinovich Artsybushev was born on March 28, 1877, in Moscow, Russian Empire. He was an artist specializing in portrait painting and graphic arts, as well as a journalist and editor of satirical journals in pre-revolutionary Russia. Artsybushev contributed to the development of early 20th-century Russian artistic culture as a portraitist and graphic artist. In addition to creating artworks, he was actively involved in publishing and editing within the field of satirical journalism. His activities were connected with the cultural environment of the Russian Empire during the period before the October Revolution. Yury Konstantinovich passed away on November 12, 1952, in Paris, where he spent the last years of his life.
