Yoram Kaniuk was born on May 2, 1930, in Tel Aviv. He was an Israeli writer, artist, and journalist, also recognized as an actor, screenwriter, publicist, theater critic, literary critic, children’s author, film critic, and novelist. Kaniuk held citizenship in both Israel and the United States, reflecting his connection to the two countries. Throughout his life, he made a significant contribution to literature and art by combining various professions and genres in his creative work. Yoram Kaniuk passed away on June 8, 2013, in Tel Aviv, his birthplace, which remained an important cultural center and home for him.
