Yokoyama Taikan (born Sakai Hidemaro) was a Japanese nihonga painter born in 1868 in Mito, Japan. He devoted his career to the traditional Japanese painting movement and died in 1958 in Taito, Japan.

Yokoyama Taikan, born Sakai Hidemaro on October 2, 1868, in Mito, Japan, was a Japanese artist specializing in nihonga, the traditional Japanese painting style. Throughout his life, he practiced art following the principles and techniques of this movement, which developed in Japan in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Yokoyama Taikan is recognized as a significant figure in Japanese art and made an important contribution to the development of nihonga. He passed away on February 26, 1958, in Taito, Japan.
