Viktor Grebennikov

Viktor Stepanovich Grebennikov (1927–2001) was a Russian entomologist, apiologist, animal painter, and writer. Honored environmentalist of Russia, member of the International Association of Bee Researchers, and founder of the Novosibirsk Museum of Agroecology and Environmental Protection.

Biography

Viktor Stepanovich Grebennikov was born on April 23, 1927, in Simferopol. He was a Russian entomologist and apiologist, as well as an animal painter, writer, and a specialist in the breeding and conservation of insects. Grebennikov was awarded the title of Honored Environmentalist of Russia. In his professional work, he was a member of the International Association of Bee Researchers, the Socio-Ecological Union, and the Siberian Ecological Fund. Beyond his scientific and ecological career, Viktor Grebennikov was also active as an artist and illustrator. He founded the Novosibirsk Museum of Agroecology and Environmental Protection, which became an important center for ecological education. Viktor Stepanovich Grebennikov passed away on April 10, 2001, in Krasnoobsk.
