Viktor Antonov
Viktor Antonov (1952–2025) was a Bulgarian artist, designer, director, and screenwriter. He is known as the art director and lead designer of the 2004 game Half-Life 2 by Valve. He passed away in February 2025 in Paris, France.
Biography
Viktor Antonov was born on February 5, 1972, in Sofia, Bulgaria. He was an artist, designer, director, screenwriter, writer, creative director, creator, and television producer. Antonov gained recognition primarily as the art director and lead designer of the 2004 computer game Half-Life 2, developed by the American company Valve. This game became one of the most popular and significant games of the early 2000s. Viktor Antonov had cultural and national ties with Bulgaria and France. He died in February 2025 in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, France.
