Vera Mikhailovna Ermolaeva was born on November 2, 1893, in Klyuchi. She was a Russian and Soviet painter, graphic artist, and illustrator actively involved in the development of the Russian avant-garde. Throughout her life and career, she was connected with both the Russian Empire and the USSR. Ermolaeva's artistic contribution spans several fields, including painting, graphic arts, and illustration. She was the sister of K. M. Ermolaev. Vera Ermolaeva died on September 26, 1937, in KarLag. She worked during a period when avant-garde approaches to art were forming in Russia, which is reflected in her work.
