Ufuoma Isioro Onobrakpeya is a Nigerian artist born on February 21, 1971, in Lagos. He works in painting, printmaking, and art education. Ufuoma represents the third generation of artists in his family: his paternal grandfather, Obi Omonedo Onobrakpeya, was a carver. From childhood, he apprenticed under his father, Bruce Onobrakpeya, and has been engaged in art for twenty years. His work continues his family's cultural tradition and contributes to the development of Nigerian art.
