Tyeb Mehta was born on July 26, 1925, in the city of Kapadvanj. He was an Indian painter, sculptor, and filmmaker, acknowledged as one of the founders of modern Indian painting. Mehta is regarded as a classic figure in modern Indian art and one of the most notable representatives of expressionism. During his creative career, he produced renowned works such as "Celebration" and "Kali." Tyeb Mehta's life and work were connected with the cultural traditions of British India, India, and the Indian Union. He passed away on July 2, 2009, in Mumbai.
