Biography
Twins Seven Seven, born Omoba Taiwo Olaniyi Oyewale-Toyeje Oyelale Osuntoki on May 3, 1944, in Ogidi, Nigeria, was a versatile creative figure engaged as a painter, sculptor, writer, actor, musician, and textile artist. Before his career as a visual artist, he was a traveling singer and dancer. His artistic development started in 1964 when he attended the Mbari Mbayo workshop led by Ulli Beier and Georgina Beier in Osogbo. Twins Seven Seven became one of the most prominent representatives of the Osogbo School, making a significant contribution to Nigerian art. Among his notable works is 'Healing of Abiku Children.' Details about his family and personal life are not publicly documented. He passed away on June 16, 2011, in Ibadan, Nigeria.
