Thérèse Glaesener-Hartmann
Marie-Thérèse Glaesener-Hartmann (1858–1923) was a Luxembourg artist known for her portraiture, capturing notable figures such as Prime Minister Paul Eyschen and Luxembourg City mayor Alphonse Munchen. She exhibited regularly at the Cercle artistique between 1894 and 1912.
Biography
Marie-Thérèse Glaesener-Hartmann was born on April 18, 1858, in Luxembourg. She specialized in portraiture, capturing images of prominent public figures including Prime Minister Paul Eyschen (1841–1915) and Luxembourg City mayor Alphonse Munchen (1850–1917). From 1894 to 1912, she participated in exhibitions at the Cercle artistique, presenting her works to both the public and critics. Glaesener-Hartmann lived and worked in Luxembourg, where she died on February 18, 1923. During her professional career, she made a significant contribution to the cultural life of Luxembourg through her portraits and active participation in artistic exhibitions.
