Tetiana Yablonska
Tetiana Yablonska (1917–2005) was a Soviet Ukrainian painter, graphic artist, and educator. Born in Smolensk, she was an academician of the USSR Academy of Arts and People's Artist of the USSR. She received the Stalin Prizes and the USSR State Prize for her contributions to genre and landscape painting.
Biography
Tetiana Nilovna Yablonska was born on February 11, 1917, in Smolensk. She was a Soviet Ukrainian painter, graphic artist, and educator. Throughout her creative career, Yablonska focused on genre painting and landscapes. In 1973, she became an academician of the USSR Academy of Arts. In 1982, she was awarded the title of People's Artist of the USSR. Tetiana Nilovna was a laureate of two second-degree Stalin Prizes, the USSR State Prize in 1979, and the Taras Shevchenko National Prize in 1998. In 2001, she was honored with the title Hero of Ukraine. Yablonska also worked as an artist and a university teacher. She passed away on June 17, 2005, in Kyiv.
