Svetlin Rusev
Svetlin Rusev (June 14, 1933 – May 26, 2018) was a Bulgarian artist, icon painter, cultural figure, and painting collector. He was a professor and became an academician of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in 2003.

Svetlin Rusev was born on June 14, 1933, in the city of Pleven, Bulgaria. He was known as an artist, icon painter, cultural figure, and painting collector. Throughout his career, he held positions related to the development of art and culture in Bulgaria. Rusev served as a professor and was awarded the title of academician of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in 2003. He was also known as a politician. Svetlin Rusev passed away on May 26, 2018, in Sofia. His activities significantly influenced the artistic and cultural life of the country.
