Sławomir Mrożek was born on June 29, 1930, in the town of Bożencin. He was a Polish writer, dramatist, essayist, artist, and caricaturist, whose career was also connected with France. Throughout his life, he created works in the genres of fiction, including drama and fantasy. Among his best-known works are "The Emigrants" and "Edek." In addition to his literary activity, Mrożek was an author of diaries and worked in journalism. Sławomir Mrożek passed away on August 15, 2013, in Nice.
