Sérvulo Gutiérrez Alarcón (1914–1961) was a Peruvian expressionist painter, sculptor, draftsman, and ceramist. He was also a sportsman and boxer, recognized as a significant cultural figure of mid-20th century Peru.
Biography
Sérvulo Gutiérrez Alarcón was born on July 23, 1914, in Ica, Peru. He was a Peruvian artist working in the expressionist style, as well as a sculptor, draftsman, and ceramist. In addition to his artistic pursuits, Sérvulo was active in sports and participated as a boxer. His creative activity spanned various forms of visual art. He lived and worked in Peru, contributing significantly to the cultural life of his country during the period leading up to the mid-20th century. Sérvulo Gutiérrez Alarcón passed away on July 22, 1961, in Lima. His professional and cultural identity is closely connected with the Peruvian region and the art of his time.
