Seiu Ito
Seiu Ito (1882–1961) was a Japanese artist from Tokyo, regarded as the father of modern kinbaku. He worked in the ukiyo-e genre and held roles as an artist, illustrator, and nawashi.
Biography
Seiu Ito was born on March 3, 1882, in Tokyo, Japan. He was a Japanese artist working in the ukiyo-e genre, as well as an illustrator and nawashi. Ito's life and work had a significant influence on the development of Japanese art, particularly in the field of kinbaku, where he is considered the father of the modern style. His artistic activity took place during the period of the Japanese Empire. Seiu Ito passed away on January 28, 1961, in Tokyo. His biography served as the basis for the 1977 romantic porn film "Exotic Dancer Beauty: Torture!" directed by Noboru Tanaka, which concludes the so-called "Showa Era Trilogy."
