In addition to his work as a cartoonist, Steinberg worked as an illustrator, architect, designer, photographer, and comic artist. He is particularly known for his collaborations with leading illustrated magazines in the United States, such as the New Yorker and Harper’s Bazaar. Among his notable works is "View of the World from 9th Avenue." Saul Steinberg passed away on May 12, 1999, in Manhattan, USA.
