Rudolf Steiner

Biography

Rudolf Steiner was born on February 25, 1861, in the town of Donji Kraljevec. He was an Austrian Doctor of Philosophy, educator, lecturer, and social reformer. Additionally, Steiner was an esotericist, occultist, clairvoyant, and mystic of the twentieth century. Throughout his life, he wrote numerous works from 1883 to 1925 and delivered over 6,000 lectures throughout Europe between 1900 and 1924. Steiner is recognized as the founder of anthroposophy and the anthroposophical movement. His work spanned a diverse range of fields: philosopher, educator, teacher, poet, writer, playwright, editor, sculptor, artist, architect, draftsman, jewelry designer, musicologist, choreographer, literary critic, theosophist, occultist, autobiographer, librettist, and founder of various initiatives. During his lifetime, he was connected with cultural and national communities of the Austrian Empire, Switzerland, Austria, and Croatia. Rudolf Steiner passed away on March 30, 1925, in Dornach.
