Roger Manderscheid
Roger Manderscheid (1933–2010) was a Luxembourgish writer, screenwriter, actor, and artist. He received the Betty Weber Prize for literary work in 1990 and was the first laureate of the Servais Prize in 1992.
Biography
Roger Manderscheid was born on March 1, 1933, in Itzig, Luxembourg. He was a prominent cultural and national figure in Luxembourg, engaging in various fields of art. Manderscheid worked not only as a writer but also as a screenwriter, actor, and artist. His literary work earned significant recognition; in 1990, he was awarded the Betty Weber Prize for outstanding contribution to literature. Later, in 1992, he became the first recipient of the Servais Prize for his work "De Papagei um Käschtebam." Roger Manderscheid passed away on June 1, 2010, in Luxembourg. His life and creative work remain an integral part of Luxembourg's cultural heritage.
