Robert Motherwell
Robert Motherwell (1915–1991) was an American artist and collage artist associated with Abstract Expressionism. Born in Aberdeen, USA, he worked in abstraction and action painting and was also a graphic artist and printmaker.
Biography
Robert Motherwell, also known as Robert Motherwell or Mazervell, was born on January 24, 1915, in Aberdeen, USA. He was an American artist and collage artist, a representative of Abstract Expressionism and action painting. Throughout his creative career, he worked in the genres of abstraction and actively developed the Abstract Expressionist movement. Motherwell practiced drawing and was a graphic artist, engraver, lithographer, screen printer, collage artist, draftsman, and also a text editor. One of his well-known works is "Je t'aime No. IV." Robert Motherwell passed away on July 16, 1991, in Provincetown, USA.
