Remedios Varo Uranga was born on December 16, 1908, in Anglès, Spain. She is known as a Spanish artist and creative figure who worked in the genres of figure, interior, and landscape painting. Varo was one of the representatives of Surrealism, an artistic movement that had a significant impact on 20th-century art. In addition to her painting, she was also a draftsman and sculptor.
