Princess Eugénie of Sweden was born on April 24, 1830, in Stockholm, Sweden. She was the daughter of King Oscar I of Sweden and his wife, Queen Joséphine of Leuchtenberg. At birth, she was named Charlotte Eugénie Augusta Amalia and belonged to the Swedish royal house of Bernadotte. Throughout her life, Eugénie demonstrated diverse talents: she was a well-known writer, composer, artist, sculptor, and philanthropist. In addition, she was engaged in music and recognized as a skilled musician.
