Poh Ling Yeow was born in 1973 in Ampang Jaya. She holds Malaysian and Australian citizenship. Poh Ling Yeow is a chef, artist, actress, and reality television participant. She became known as the runner-up on the first season of MasterChef Australia. Following this, she hosted several cooking television programs, including "Poh's Kitchen" on ABC and "Poh & Co." on SBS. Additionally, Poh Ling Yeow has published several cookbooks. She has appeared multiple times on MasterChef Australia as a guest judge and mentor. She returned as a contestant in the twelfth season in 2020 and has served as a judge from the sixteenth season in 2024.
