In his youth, Bonnard led the artist group known as the "Nabis." His artistic legacy includes genre painting, nudes, landscapes, and portraits. Among his notable works are "The Dining Room in the Country House" and "Nude Against the Light." Bonnard is regarded as one of the greatest colorists of the 20th century. He passed away on January 23, 1947, in Le Cannet, France.
