Oskar Kokoschka
Oskar Kokoschka was an Austrian artist and writer of Czech origin, recognized as a key figure in Austrian Expressionism. Born on March 1, 1886, he worked in landscape painting and also engaged in drama, poetry, graphic arts, and teaching. He died on February 22, 1980.

Oskar Kokoschka was born on March 1, 1886, in Pöchlarn. He was an Austrian artist and writer of Czech origin, known as one of the leading figures of Austrian Expressionism. His creative work spanned multiple artistic fields: he was a painter, playwright, poet, designer, graphic artist, draftsman, illustrator, writer, and university teacher. Kokoschka worked in the genre of landscape and became known for notable works such as "Prometheus," "The Bride of the Wind," and "Self-Portrait as a Degenerate Artist." He had national and cultural ties to Austria, Cisleithania, Pakistan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, and Czechoslovakia. Oskar Kokoschka passed away on February 22, 1980, in Montreux.
