Oleksandr Rojtburd
Oleksandr Anatoliyovych Rojtburd (1961–2021) was a Soviet and Ukrainian painter, multimedia and video artist. Born and died in Odessa, he was also active in cultural administration as a deputy of the Odessa Regional Council and director of the Odessa Art Museum.
Biography
Oleksandr Anatoliyovych Rojtburd was born on October 14, 1961, in Odessa, USSR. He was a Soviet and Ukrainian painter, multimedia artist, video artist, and cultural figure in the visual arts. Rojtburd was actively involved in the cultural life of Ukraine, working with visual and multimedia art. Throughout his career, he also served in administrative roles within the art sector, including as a deputy of the Odessa Regional Council and as the director of the Odessa Art Museum. Oleksandr Anatoliyovych Rojtburd passed away on August 8, 2021, in Odessa. His creative activity spanned the post-1945 period and was connected to the cultural contexts of both the USSR and Ukraine.
