Oldřich Lajsek
Oldřich Lajsek (1925–2001) was a Czech artist, graphic designer, and art educator. From 1954, he was a member of the Union of Czechoslovak Artists and a leading figure in the Association of Eight Masters of Art.
Biography
Oldřich Lajsek was born on February 8, 1925, in Kršesetice. He was a Czech artist, graphic designer, and art educator. From 1954, Lajsek was a member of the Union of Czechoslovak Masters of Art and served as a leading member of the artist group known as the Association of Eight Masters of Art. In 1985, he was awarded the Prize for Excellent Work. Throughout his creative career, he produced approximately 3,000 works, with more than 1,800 held in private collections. Oldřich Lajsek died on October 2, 2001, in Prague. He is considered part of the cultural heritage of the Czech Republic.
