Biography

Nikolay Nikolaevich Kurilov was born on June 11, 1949, in the village of Andryushkino. He is a Yukaghir artist, poet, writer, and cultural figure. Kurilov also worked under the pseudonym Okat Bey. In his creative work, he combined various forms of art, producing works in both literature and painting. The Kurilov family includes several creative individuals: Nikolay is the brother of the writer Uluro Ado and the writer and artist Semyon Kurilov. His artworks and literary works are known for reflecting the characteristics and culture of his native Yukaghir people.
