Nikolai Galakhov
Nikolai Nikolaevich Galakhov (1928–2022) was a Soviet and Russian painter known for his realist landscape paintings. He was an Honored Artist of the RSFSR and a member of the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists.
Biography
Nikolai Nikolaevich Galakhov was born on May 29, 1928, in Kazan. He was a Soviet and Russian artist specializing in landscape painting within the realism genre. Throughout his career, he represented the USSR and Russia, earning the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR. Galakhov was a member of the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists, indicating his recognition within the country's artistic community. Over his lifetime, he made a significant contribution to the development of the landscape genre in Soviet and Russian art. Nikolai Nikolaevich worked in the traditions of realism, combining traditional techniques with picturesque images of nature. He passed away on March 1, 2022.
