Baskakov was a member of the Leningrad organization of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR, reflecting his active involvement in the professional artistic community of his time. His work was predominantly in the realist style, aligning with the cultural traditions of the RSFSR, the USSR, and later Russia during his life. Among his notable works is the painting "Lenin in Kremlin." Nikolai Nikolaevich Baskakov passed away on October 14, 1993, in Saint Petersburg.
