Nikodim Silivanovich

Nikodim Yuryevich Silivanovich (1834–1919) was a Belarusian-Russian painter and mosaic artist active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He was an academician of mosaic art at the Imperial Academy of Arts, and spent his life within the Russian Empire.

Biography

Nikodim Yuryevich Silivanovich was born on December 25, 1834, in Tsintsevichi. He was a Belarusian-Russian painter and mosaic artist working at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Silivanovich attained the status of an academician of mosaic art at the Imperial Academy of Arts. His entire life was connected to the Russian Empire. Nikodim Yuryevich died on May 21, 1919, in his native Tsintsevichi. His work is part of the artistic culture of the Russian Empire, and he holds an important place in the history of painting and mosaic art of that period.
