Nico Klopp
Nico Klopp (1894–1930) was a Luxembourgish painter, printmaker, and municipal official, known for his post-impressionist depictions of scenes along the Moselle River where he lived.
Biography
Nico Klopp was born on September 18, 1894, in Bech-Kleinmacher, Luxembourg. He was a Luxembourgish artist noted as a painter, printmaker, and graphic artist, as well as a municipal official. Klopp is best known for his post-impressionist paintings portraying scenes of the Moselle River, which was the setting for much of his life and work. His art reflected the characteristics of the local nature and everyday life along the river. Nico Klopp passed away on December 29, 1930, in Luxembourg. His national and cultural identity is firmly connected to Luxembourg.
