Mykhaylo Khmelko
Mykhaylo Khmelko (1919–1996) was a Ukrainian Soviet painter and a representative of socialist realism. Born in Kyiv, he was named People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR in 1963 and was awarded two Stalin Prizes. His work developed within the cultural traditions of the Ukrainian SSR.
Biography
Mykhaylo Ivanovych Khmelko was born on October 23, 1919, in Kyiv. He was a Ukrainian Soviet painter whose work was associated with socialist realism. Throughout his life, he gained recognition in artistic circles, receiving the title of People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR in 1963. Additionally, Khmelko was awarded two Stalin Prizes, which emphasize his significance within the Soviet artistic community.
