Mykhailo Boychuk

Biography

Mykhailo Lvivovych Boychuk was born on October 30, 1882, in Romanivka. He was a Ukrainian monumental artist, painter, and educator who made a significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian monumental art in the 20th century. Boychuk was one of the founders of this artistic movement and was a representative of the so-called "Executed Renaissance." His artistic work included the graphic arts genre. Throughout his life, Mykhailo Lvivovych was connected with several states and cultural communities, including Austria-Hungary, the Ukrainian People's Republic, the Ukrainian State, and the USSR. He died on July 13, 1937, in Kyiv. In addition to his creative activities, he was involved in pedagogy and contributed to art education.
