Biography

Morgan Chua Heng Soon was born on May 3, 1949, in post-war Singapore. He was a Singaporean political cartoonist whose creative work captured the political and social reality of his country. Born in the Year of the Ox and during the month of Taurus, these astrological symbols became his distinctive talisman. Throughout his life, Morgan Chua made a significant contribution to the art of cartooning in Singapore, remaining a prominent figure among the artists of his era. He lived his entire life in Singapore and passed away there on March 22, 2018. His activities and artwork are closely linked to the culture and history of Singapore, emphasizing his national identity as a Singaporean and an artist.
