Mikoláš Aleš
Mikoláš Aleš (1852–1913) was a Czech painter, illustrator, and academicism representative from Cisleithania. Born in Mirotice, he is known as a leading 19th-century artist and a prominent figure of the 'National Theatre Generation.' He died in Prague.

Mikoláš Aleš was born on November 18, 1852, in Mirotice, Cisleithania. A Czech painter and illustrator, he was also a representative of academicism. Throughout his life, he engaged in various artistic activities, including painting, illustrating, drawing, ex-libris creation, designing, and watercolor painting. Aleš is regarded as one of the major Czech artists of the 19th century and a distinguished member of the 'National Theatre Generation.' His work reflects his cultural ties to Cisleithania and the academic traditions of his time. Mikoláš Aleš passed away on July 10, 1913, in Prague.
