Biography
Mike Akhien Omoighe, known as Mike Omoighe, was born on October 11, 1958, in Nigeria. He was a Nigerian artist, curator, art historian, and art educator. Omoighe grew up and lived most of his life in Lagos, Nigeria. His work spanned several areas of the visual arts, including painting and curatorial practice. He belonged to the Nigerian cultural milieu and contributed to the development of national art until his death in 2021.
