Biography
Meer Moiseevich Akselrod was born on July 5, 1902, in Molodechno. He was a Soviet artist engaged in painting and graphic arts. Akselrod was a member of the “4 Arts” society. During the Great Patriotic War, he created a series of works titled “German Occupation.” His artistic oeuvre includes portraits, landscapes, graphic art, and scenography, reflecting his diverse skills and interests. Throughout his life, his work represented the cultural traditions of both the Russian Empire and the USSR. Meer Moiseevich Akselrod passed away on January 10, 1970, in Moscow.
