Slovak artist and chess composer Ľudovít Lehen was born on June 3, 1925, in Banská Bystrica. His work is connected with Cubism. He was also a sculptor, textile artist, and graphic artist. He died in Bratislava on May 12, 2014.

Ľudovít Lehen was born on June 3, 1925, in the city of Banská Bystrica, Slovakia. He was an artist working in various fields and skillfully combined several professions: painter, sculptor, textile artist, graphic artist, and chess composer. Elements of Cubism were evident in Lehen's artistic work. Beyond painting, he gained recognition as a FIDE Master in chess composition. His activities were closely connected with the cultural heritage of Slovakia. Ľudovít Lehen passed away on May 12, 2014, in the capital of the country, Bratislava.
