Lim Tze Peng
Lim Tze Peng (born September 28, 1921, in Singapore, died February 3, 2025) was a Singaporean artist, calligrapher, teacher, and school principal. In 2003, he received the Cultural Medallion for his contributions to the arts and culture.
Biography
Lim Tze Peng was born on September 28, 1921, in Singapore. He became a noted artist and calligrapher while also engaging in educational work, including roles as a teacher and school principal. In recognition of his contributions to the development of art and culture in Singapore, he was awarded the Cultural Medallion in 2003. As of June 2021, at the age of 99, Lim Tze Peng continued to actively produce artworks. He left a significant legacy in the field of contemporary Singaporean art. Lim Tze Peng passed away on February 3, 2025.
