Lee Khoon Choy

Lee Khoon Choy was born in 1924 in Butterworth, Malaysia. He was a journalist, diplomat, writer, artist, and politician. From 1959 to 1963, he served as the first party disciplinary secretary of Singapore's People's Action Party.

Biography

Lee Khoon Choy was born in 1924 in the city of Butterworth, Malaysia. Throughout his life, he engaged in multiple professions including journalism, diplomacy, writing, art, and politics. From 1959 to 1963, Lee Khoon Choy was the first party disciplinary secretary of Singapore's People's Action Party (PAP). During this period, he also held parliamentary seats in three constituencies: from 1959 to 1963 representing the Bukit Panjang constituency; from 1965 to 1976 representing the Hong Lim constituency; and from 1977 to 1984 representing the Braddell Heights constituency. Lee Khoon Choy died on February 27, 2016, at the National University Hospital.
