Father Kallinik Stavrovouniotis, originally named Kostas P. Mammous, was born on November 11, 1920, in Atienu, Cyprus. He was an Orthodox monk and ascetic who dedicated his life to spiritual and artistic pursuits. Kallinik gained recognition as one of the most important contemporary Byzantine iconographers, blending religious practice with art. His creative work and monastic service were primarily carried out in Cyprus. He passed away on January 23, 2011, at Stavrovouni Monastery. Throughout his life, Kallinik made a significant impact on Cypriot culture and religion as an artist, monk, and hagiographer.
