Juraj Bartusz

Biography

Juraj Bartusz was born on October 23, 1933, in Kamenin. He was a Slovak sculptor, artist, draftsman, graphic artist, and university professor. Throughout his career, he was closely connected with the culture and art of Slovakia and Czechoslovakia. From the mid-1960s until his death on September 25, 2025, in Košice, Juraj Bartusz created spatial-temporal sculptures characterized by an unconventional approach to sculpture and objects. His creative work spanned various forms of art, highlighting the breadth of his professional skills and interests.
