Julio Ramón Ribeyro
Julio Ramón Ribeyro (August 31, 1929 – December 4, 1994) was a Peruvian writer, known as a novelist, short story writer, essayist, journalist, and diplomat. He also practiced drawing and studied law.
Biography
Julio Ramón Ribeyro was born on August 31, 1929, in Lima, Peru. He was a Peruvian writer primarily recognized as a short story writer, as well as a novelist and essayist. In addition to his literary work, Ribeyro worked as a journalist and a state diplomat. He also engaged in drawing and had an education in jurisprudence. His work and career established him as one of the most significant short story writers of Latin America. Julio Ramón Ribeyro passed away on December 4, 1994, in Lima, leaving a notable mark on the literary world of Peru and broader Latin America.
