Judy Ongg

Biography

Judy Ongg was born on January 24, 1950, in Taipei. She is a Japanese-Taiwanese singer, actress, writer, and woodblock print artist. In 1969, Judy graduated from the American School in Japan, then continued her studies at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan. Subsequently, she became a naturalized citizen of Japan. Over the course of more than four decades, she successfully worked in various artistic fields, including television and cinema, and performed as a J-pop singer. Additionally, Judy Ongg began her career as a child actor and television actress, broadening the range of her professional activities. Her creative path is not limited to performing arts; she is also engaged in woodblock printmaking, enriching her artistic biography. This has allowed her to secure a significant place within the cultural spheres of both Japan and Taiwan.
