Juan Francisco González (1853–1933) was a Chilean artist from Santiago, considered one of the four Great Masters of Chile and the country's first modern painter. His works show the influence of Impressionism combined with local Chilean elements.

Juan Francisco González was born on September 25, 1853, in Santiago, Chile. He was an artist and one of the first modern painters in Chile. González is recognized as one of the four Great Masters of Chile and represents the archetype of a romantic bohemian artist of the early 20th century. His work is characterized by a strong influence of Impressionism and Chilean local motifs. Over his career, he created around 4,000 works, becoming the most prolific among Chilean masters. Juan Francisco González left a significant impact on the art of his country and was seen as a symbol of a new creative generation of the 20th century. He passed away on March 4, 1933, in Santiago.
