Jože Ciuha
Jože Ciuha (1924–2015) was a Slovenian painter, printmaker, illustrator, and textile artist whose work was connected with the cultures of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, and modern Slovenia.
Biography
Jože Ciuha was born on April 26, 1924, in the city of Trbovlje. He was a Slovenian artist engaged in painting, graphic arts, printmaking, and illustration, as well as working as a textile artist. His cultural and national activities were connected to several state formations, including the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, and contemporary Slovenia. Jože Ciuha passed away on April 12, 2015, in Ljubljana.
