José Manuel dos Santos Rodrigues was born on May 4, 1951, in Lisbon. He is a visual artist, photographer, and artist working with various media. Rodrigues holds both Portuguese and Dutch citizenship. For more than twenty years during his professional career, he lived and worked in the Netherlands. Since 1993 and continuing to the present, the artist has lived in the Portuguese city of Évora. His work spans several directions in art, including photography and mixed media.
