Biography

Joan Mitchell was an American artist, born on February 12, 1925, in Chicago. She became known as a representative of abstract expressionism, a genre in which works were created that were not directly related to depicting real objects. Throughout her career, Mitchell combined professional activities as a painter, illustrator, and printmaker. Among her notable works is the painting "Bonjour Julie."
